Akamai Guardicore Segmentation Specialist
The Role
We are looking for a specialist with hands-on expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation to support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of micro-segmentation solutions within a complex enterprise network environment. You will provide critical guidance on policy definition, configuration, and operational best practices to enhance network security and reduce the attack surface.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation, supporting design and architecture decisions aligned with broader network and security strategies
- Lead or contribute to the configuration and deployment of Guardicore segmentation policies across the environment
- Define and refine segmentation policies to enforce least-privilege access and reduce lateral movement risks
- Provide implementation guidance and hands-on support throughout deployment phases, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Deliver ongoing operational support for the Guardicore platform, including troubleshooting, policy updates, and performance monitoring
- Collaborate with network architecture and security teams to ensure segmentation solutions integrate effectively with existing infrastructure
- Where required, this role may be fulfilled in conjunction with Network Architecture responsibilities
Profile
- Demonstrated expertise in Akamai Guardicore Segmentation, including design, configuration, policy management, and operational support
- Strong understanding of micro-segmentation concepts and zero-trust network security principles
- Experience working within complex, multi-site enterprise network environments
- Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and their interaction with segmentation solutions
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
