AML & Client Due Diligence Officer (Private Banking)
Core Mission
As part of the 1st Line of Defense, you will prevent money laundering and financial crime (AML/CFT) by identifying and mitigating risks throughout the client lifecycle. You will ensure full compliance with government regulations and internal bank policies.
Key Responsibilities :
CDD Management & Onboarding: Perform thorough analysis of new client applications (verifying identities, assessing risk factors) and conduct scheduled periodic reviews to ensure data accuracy.
Monitoring & Exit Accounts: Oversee accounts flagged for closure following bank decisions, ensuring all regulatory and operational steps are accurately completed.
Operational Support: Respond to balance confirmation requests from clients, internal departments, and third parties (auditors, legal) with accuracy and timeliness.
Advisory & Support: Share your AML expertise with Private Banking employees, help them understand the implications of their activities, and anticipate regulatory developments.
Controls & Projects: Contribute to the implementation of compliance-related AML/CDD controls and complete specific projects assigned by the manager.
Candidate Profile :
Experience & Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3 / L3) in Banking, Finance, Financial Services, or a related field. A recognized Anti-Money Laundering or Financial Crime qualification is highly preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years specifically within CDD/KYC/AML in Banking or Financial Services.
Tools: Familiarity with screening tools (e.g., World-Check or similar) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Languages: Good command of both English and French (written and verbal). Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
