Head Bars & Rods Performance Management (m/f)

Job Description

You will be responsible for leading and managing the Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities for the Bars & Rods (B&R) perimeter within ArcelorMittal Long Products Europe. Your mission will be to drive efficiency, transparency, and operational excellence across planning, logistics, and performance monitoring, ensuring optimal support to mill operations and alignment with business objectives.


Tasks and Responsibilities

Provide leadership on Operations Management (OM) and operations planning
Oversee performance reporting to ensure visibility and accountability across SCM functions
Manage semis planning to support production continuity and material flow
Deliver logistic support to mills, ensuring timely and efficient operations
Drive metal inventory optimization to balance availability and cost efficiency
Coordinate shutdown and capacity planning to minimize disruptions and maximize throughput
Develop and implement strategies for consignment stocks planning
Navigate the order book to optimize productivity of casters and mills
Introduce and manage the OTT (Order Turnaround Time ) metric across Bars & Rods mills in Europe



Profile and Qualifications

Solid experience in supply chain management, preferably within the steel or industrial manufacturing sector
Education: Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Industrial Management; advanced qualifications are a plus
Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of mill operations, planning systems, and inventory management
Analytical skills: Proven ability to interpret performance data and drive process improvements
Communication: Effective stakeholder management across functions and geographies.
