Mechanical Designer - Molds (Product development) (m/f/d)

Job Description:

After an initial training period in our European Headquarters in Dudelange, Luxembourg, you will be part of the Development-Engineering-Team responsible for Beverage Packaging Tooling. In this role you will provide engineering support as part of the Product Development process by completing design execution and system level design while delivering high quality, high performance, reliable and cost effective designs on time.

Responsibilities:

Iterate design concepts based on scope of work and issue design selection matrix
Complete Design execution applying design standards
System level design with limited guidance applying design standards
Creation of Design Documents and Validation Plans
Participate in cross-functional teams and effectively collaborate worldwide with engineering-, manufacturing-, service-, test- and validation teams.
Develop and follow complex project-plans including detailed milestone-setting and time-line generation. Effective communication of project status.

Qualifications:

Master degree from Engineering school in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Several years of work experience in a similar environment would be considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge in CAD applications.
Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
Knowledge in calculating design parameters.
Good project and time management skills.
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack up analysis experience is an advantage Virtual simulation background would be considered an advantage.
Strong communication skills in English language (verbal, written, and presentation).
