Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Injection molding process expert for closures to lead process development in piloting for beverage closure solutions and support transferring this to production and the final customer. This role requires strong collaboration with cross functional teams such as Application engineering, pilot test room, production test room, manufacturing and service.


Responsibilities:

Lead Process developments in piloting and ensure the up-scalability to production molds
Call and lead process related BAT meetings
Define criteria for proper piloting process window validation and ensure their application before proceeding to production mold kick off
Work close together with Application engineering and support process window validation and process reviews
Ensure proper handoff between production mold validation at FAT and service
Support troubleshooting in pilot and production mold validation
Support mold startups at customers both from remote and on site
Drive continuous improvements of processability validation and the documentation of it


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering; or at least 5 years of plastics processing or manufacturing engineering experience
Demonstrated strong knowledge on injection molding
Understanding of mold, machine and hot runner
Familiar with Husky Equipment is an asset
Knowledge of beverage closure materials (e.g., HDPE, PP) and tooling
Familiarity with scientific molding and process validation
Ability to read technical drawings and use measurement tools
Good communication and documentation skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
Willingness to travel
