(Mid - Senior) Legal Associate

We are expanding our AIFM team in Luxembourg and seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Associate (Mid to Senior level, depending on experience) to join our Legal department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the legal and regulatory framework of alternative investment funds.

You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, client-facing environment and work closely with junior and senior members of the AIFM Legal team. The role involves supporting key onboarding, legal, and operational tasks while developing skills in client management, communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the review and negotiation of service agreements for a third party host AIFM (e.g., AIFM Agreements, Investment Advisory Agreements, Delegated Portfolio Management Agreements, engagement letters, NDAs, etc.);
• Review and assist in the negotiation of fund constitutional documents (e.g., limited partnership agreements, private placement memorandums, articles of association, and other fund-related legal documents);
• Support the operations and oversight of pre marketing and marketing activities for various funds;
• Undertake ad hoc and ancillary activities related to a third party Host AIFM, including preparation of team meeting minutes, legal document management, coordination with other Langham Hall departments, assistance with board meeting preparations, legal and regulatory research, and drafting or updating internal policies and procedures;
• Provide coaching and conduct review of work performed by junior team members.

Technical Knowledge / Skills Required

• University degree in Law;
• Up to 3 years of experience within an AIFM, law firm (investment funds practice), or the Luxembourg funds industry;
• Prior exposure to AIFMD;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Solid organisational skills;
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work autonomously;
• High attention to detail and an inquisitive, problem solving approach
