6. EASTCOAST FESTIVAL IN MERTERT
EMIL BULLS als Headliner beim Eastcoast Festival!

Freier Eintritt am 20. Juli, neue Location, Foodtrucks, und exklusiv Craftbeers! FREIER EINTRITT!Am 20. Juli wird in Mertert (Luxemburg) bei freiem Eintritt das 6. Eastcoast Festival stattfinden. Veranstaltungsgelände ist zum ersten Mal das grosse und sehr gepflegte Parkgelände in Mertert. Beginn dieses Festivals ist um 17:30 Uhr dem Gitarristen und Sänger der Unplugged Gang Prinz Wolli.

Für die diesjährige Veranstaltung sind neben Luxemburger Bands, auch die deutsche Metallband Emil Bulls gebucht. Das Lineup ist neben neben den Bulls eine Anhäufung der besten und angesagtesten Bands des Landes. Es handelt sich hierbei um Lost in Pain, Dead Sinners, District 7 und anderen. Alle verfügen über genügend Erfahrung um das Festivalgelände ans Beben zu bringen.

Emil Bulls!

Im Sommer 2018 ist es wieder so weit. Die EMIL BULLS gehen auf Festivaltour. Mit fesselnden Songs zwischen aggressivem Wahnsinn und sanfter Melancholie wird die Band ihren Ruf als eine der besten deutschen Live-Bands abermals untermauern. Der erste Tour Part im November/Dezember spiegelt den Erfolg der letzten Alben sowie des aktuellen Albums KILL YOUR DEMONS wieder: Die Tour war nahezu überall ausverkauft, die bestbesuchste Tour der Band, ihr könnt euch auf die Party des Jahres gefasst machen. Live präsentieren die EMIL BULLS ihr gewohntes Überbrett an alten Klassikern und aktuellen Hits. Fans von aggressiven Riffs und eingängigen Hooklines sind bei den EMIL BULLS genau richtig. Mit mehr als 20 Jahren Bandgeschichte haben sich die EMIL BULLS ihr markantes Ungestüm und ihre spielerische Kreativität bewahrt. Die Philosophie dahinter: dem eigenen, unverkennbaren Stil treu bleiben und sich am Puls der Zeit weiterentwickeln, ohne sich zu verbiegen. Darum trägt die Band mit souveränem Fundament die Underground-Szene tief im Herzen. Und das mit Erfolg: Mittlerweile findet man die EMIL BULLS auch in den Top Ten der Media Control Charts.

Dead Sinners!

Powerful riffs, unforgettable melodies and relevant messages to tell. How do you describe such a thing? Dead Sinners call it "Power Rock" and nobody can make them stop.

Due to their successful career since 2010, while still named "Porn Queen", the band reached the top, playing with Slash (Guns n' Roses / Velvet Revolver), Deep Purple, Duff McKagan's Loaded, Steve Lukather and many others. Even though, the four musicians decided to break barriers and change. Setting the actual moment as their highest on songwriting and confirming the maturity of their music, "Dead Sinners" simbolizes thebeginning of a new era.

Lost in Pain!

Lost In Pain is a Heavy Metal quartet from Luxembourg.

The band was formed by songwriter, guitarist and lead singer Hugo Nogueira Centeno in 2008 by the age of 15.

After a long search for musicians, Luca Daresta (13), Andy Fixmer (16) and Dario Raguso (16) finally came up and the band was complete and ready to play their first gig.

In 2009 the band played and won their first contest Rock the South which gave them the occasion to work with Charel Stoltz and record their first demo. In 2010 Nathalie Haas joined the band taking Andy's place on the bass.

After countless shows between 2009 and 2011, the band finally produced their first full-length album "Lost In Pain" in 2011 and in 2015 their second album, "Plague Inc." both played and released in front of a fully crowded Rockhal in Luxembourg.

In almost 10 years of madness, Lost In Pain shared the stage with major artists like: Soundgarden, Sepultura, Havok, Alice In Chains, Therapy?, Skrillex, Xutos & Pontapés and many more.

Since their first two albums "Lost in Pain" (2011) and "Plague Inc." (2015), the band have developed their style from a nineties infused Metal to a more contemporary Metal, now culminating in "Gold Hunters".

Inspired by the famous Annunaki mythology, the new album has a distinct sound, combining melodic passages with heavy guitar riffage.

District 7!

District 7 was formed in 2011 as a pop-punk band, steadily growing into one of the most upcoming young bands in Luxembourg. The band played countless shows, among which the Food For Your Senses Festival (LU) in 2014, Zikametz Festival (Fr) in 2015, the sold-out support slot for Simple Plan at Den Atelier in 2015 and the gig at Eurosonic Noorderslag in 2018 were the important turning points of its career. After the release of their first EP "Brave New World", District 7 won major prices at Rockhal's Screaming Fields competition (Best Live Performance – 2013, Best Composition – 2014, Best Song – 2016, Rocklab Coup de Coeur – 2016). In 2017, the band released their second EP "The Place We Used To Call Home" (produced in Portugal by Vasco Ramos) and represented Luxembourg in the Greater Region's "Multipistes" program.

While the band was mainly focussed on playing pop-punk for the first four years, 2016 marked an important step in the musical evolution of the group. In February 2016, the band went to London to record 2 singles with producer Brett Shaw (Florence and the Machine, Clean Bandit, Daughter. In that very same year, the band produced its second EP with Vasco Ramos, further refining the sound and attitude of the band. The work with internationally acclaimed professionals changed the mood and style of District 7, drifting away from the punk genre and embracing a more pop-oriented alternative sound with punk roots. The general mood of the songs became more mature and detached from hindering elements. What remains are driving guitars, exploding drums, an electrifying, fast-paced live-performance and a trio that is ready to take their sound to the stages of Europe and beyond.

Second Stage mit erstklassiger Unterhaltung: Dr. Gonzo ist Kult! Prinz Wolli bekannt durch die Unplugged Gang!

Unsere zweite Bühne wird dieses Jahr vom DJ der ersten Stunde Dr Gonzo zum toben gebracht. Flying und Gonzo, mehr bedarf es einer Beschreibung dieses einzigartigen Vir-tuosen am Plattenteller nicht. Zwischen und nach den Bands wird ihr zu allen möglichen Beats getanzt und gefeiert. Das Festival beginnt um 17:30 mit Prinz Wolli auf der 2nd Stage..

Location!

Neu ist der schöne Park in Mertert als Location für das Eastcoast Festival, diese erstklassige Venue passt zu einem Festival mit Niveau.

Foodvillage!

Unser Foodvillage wird von verschiedenen 5 Foodtrucks mit verschiedenen Geschmäckern wie Burger, Pizza, Thailändisch oder doch lieber Indisch mit Leben erfüllt. Es soll in diesem Bereich aber auch nicht an einem Coffeebike fehlen.

Verschiedenes!

Bleibt zu erwähnen, dass es während dem ganzen Abend einen "Latenightbus" Service gibt, welcher die Zuschauer aus der ganzen Region zum Festival und nach Hause bringt. Details hierzu finden Sie auf www.eastcoast.lu. Parkplatz gibt es 50 Meter vom Festivalgelände.

Es ist nicht gestattet eigene Getränke und Speisen zum Festival mit zu bringen.
